Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Alexander Hotel in Budva, I found the balance of luxury and value quite commendable. The hotel's proximity to the pebble beach and bustling local dining scene enhances its appeal, even in the sweltering summer heat. My modern room featured essential amenities, including a flat-screen TV, in-room safe, and free toiletries, accommodating a comfortable stay. The patio offered a pleasant space to unwind, though I lamented that my view was of the parking lot rather than the scenic surroundings. With a large swimming pool and recreational activities, it's clear that leisure is prioritized. The option to upgrade to half board provided excellent value, especially given the friendly service from the staff. The dining experience did not quite match the hotel's overall quality, and the 25-minute walk to the atmospheric old town occasionally felt excessive. Ultimately, the Alexander strikes a pragmatic chord for travelers seeking comfort without overly extravagant rates.
